In the Beginning, Hope and Michael..
I remember watching the original pilot in 1987 and thinking it was wonderful. Twenty-two years later, I actually found it slow-moving and the main characters, Hope and Michael, without any real depth. I did enjoy the characters Melissa, Michael’s awkward and lovable cousin, the photographer and Gary, Michael’s best friend, a college professor, a bit of a playboy and Melissa’s ex-boyfriend. One notable seen in the pilot is one that most new parents trying to spend time with their childless and career-oriented friends can relate to; Hope and her best friend Ellen attempting to have lunch with a crying baby Janey making it impossible! The competition, the underlying jealousies that Hope and Ellen feel is just under the surface.
I recommend the Pilot Episode of Thirtysomething to all the super-fans of the show!

I Love It
Mark me down as a fan. I look forward to every new episode. The mother’s character grows a bit tiresome to me, but I love the female android (from FIREFLY and THE 4400), that she alone is reason enough to watch it. I’d love this show even more if they did more time jumping.

Best Show in TV
I recently purchased the fourth season and I own the first 3 seasons. Kyra and crew are a great cast ensemble, this is simply the best show on TV today. Period.
If you’re a fan of the closer, Watch This!
This is the very first episode of The Closer. It’s very interesting to see what the characters are like in this first episode vs. what they’re like in current episodes. Among other things, Kyra Sedgwick has a different accent and is more aggressive in this show. Plus this is the first time the characters meet up with Brenda Johnson, and that presents some interesting situations.

Fascinating. Insightful. Suspenseful.
The study of human emotions and behavior is fascinating. LIE TO ME studies how we all express ourselves and react to others and our world. Fleeting expressions (micro-expressions), glances, seemingly insignificant movements all tell a story.
This show is a remarkable showcase of non-verbal communication. The plots are intelligent and interesting suspended between fiction and reality. A pursing of the lips. a wrinkle of the brow, a frown or twitch could reveal the killer…who’s lying and who is telling the truth?
Excellent TV Series
This is an excellent show that is actually based on a true character, Paul Ekman. I’m pretty sure it’s mainly fiction but still close to reality. I think that if I had to work a different job to the one I have now, it would be a “deception expert”. If you are interested on buying this TV series I’m 100% sure you will not regret it.
