This has often been compared to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I know the first instinct is to say enthralling “gore” is uninteresting, but it’s pulled of well as in 12 Kingdoms. The first volume episode does have one completely unnecessary scene where Yokho is naked and being seduced by a demon. Not distinct why it’s even in there! The rest of the series is normal and luscious. So, unless you happen to be a perverted young teenage boy or a desperate man, mercurial forward!!

Yohko is even a magical girl, she’s unbiased…rougher, so girls should like this.

Devil hunter Yohko is classic Anime at it’s best! This exhibit may be a bit dated, but it unexcited has sexy girls, tantalizing plots, and large music. This DVD is absolutely exceptional in every intention and I strongly recomend it for any anime fan(provided you can deal with the nudity of course) .

Season 4 of Hunter…FINALLY!!!
I was so excited to see Hunter Season 4 released!!! Hunter was such a great show and it is a total shame that all 7 seasons were not released on DVD. I cannot believe that it did not sell and am convinced that some other reason exists as to why only seasons 1-3 were released. It is great that Amazon Unbox released the episodes of Season 4 and I hope to see the remaining seasons as well. I know I will buy them for sure!!!
The Unbox player is easy to use and you can download DVD’s to store the episodes as long as you play them on the computer. Although I’d rather have the DVD’s, I will take what I can get for such a great show!!!

I’ve been putting of watching this volume, mostly because it took a long time to approach out and I had other things on my watching list. This series has been one of the best in the last few years, and it’s worth lingering over. Now that I’ve seen it I can honestly say that it is even better than I expected.

Director Shuko Murase has proved himself an expert in keeping the various threads of this location afloat, and in using the loose ends to design tension and mystery. Now in four episodes he brings things together brilliantly, creating an absolutely satisfying conclusion.

As the narrative unfolds we learn Robin’s maintain mysterious role in events as well as revealing several surprises in the STNJ staff. Yurika suddenly develops character as does the office manager. The core site turns on the conflict between Solomon, the central witch hunting organization, and the Factory, headed by Zaizen. Integral to this is the source and purpose of the Orbo and a secret thread of history known only to Father Juliano, Robin’s benefactor.

Several other series have begged the inquire of the incompatibility between the hunter and the hunted, but Witch Hunter Robin collapses the spectrum completely. And the examine becomes not impartial hat is a witch, but what is a human as well.

Production remains beneficial throughout. To hold from spoiling any of the finale I will refrain from going into any details.

Overall, the only thing that I can say is that if you liked the other DVDs in the series then this is a must bewitch. If you are novel to the series I would recommend watching the first two DVDs before making any descisions about the anime. Also remember that this series does not really prefer off until around the 13th(? ) episode, so do not assume it if you have only seen the first couple of episodes. In the destroy, it is really up to you wether or not this will be something that you would hold, but for me this is a definate must gain.

With the talisman in her hands, Robin’s powers have begun to unfold at a rapidly trot. Unfortunately, the explosion of her abilities has convinced Solomon that she has changed from a hunter into a witch, and a deadly one at that. Soon a series of hunters initiate to come in an exertion to waste Robin, but she is not all that easy to undo. Indeed, the repeated threats have convinced her to dig deeper into the mystery. With the succor of Michael Lee, and Nagira, who has become a not-quite-trusted ally, Robin begins to turn tables on the STNJ, Solomon, and the Factory.

A complicated political conflict is brewing in among the witch-hunters. Administrator Zaizen has been avoiding the STNJ team, focusing instead on some special developments in Orbo research. This has caused a falling out with Solomon headquarters, and the Japanese STNJ is trying to gain a balance between all the factors. None of this makes things any easier for Robin, who finds herself the object of everyone’s attention. The only light in the murk is some surfacing clues to Robin’s origin.

A climax is building. Perhaps the one hinted at by the references to the Coven. Robin’s time seems evenly divided between searching for clues and spectacular psychic battles with an array of very weird hunters. Administrator Zaizen seems to have a thought that smacks of genetic purification. And the STNJ team seems to have lost its spirit, other than Michael, who is providing more information to Robin than he is to the rest of the team.

On a different sign, this is the first situation of episodes where I noticed a lot of reliance on computer-generated textures. Observe during the opening scenes in Robin’s hideaway. I have mixed feelings about this.. The detailing adds depth, but heightens the unreality of the rest of the animation. Since the latter is beautifully done, not honest the character animation, but the scene setting that manages to combine gothic and recent architecture to expansive attain.

I haven’t mentioned yet that several of the DVD’s in the series – this is one of them, have interviews with the Japanese utter actors as extras. Often these shed light on the action of the episodes, beyond the illumination of the characters – in this case Dojima and Sakaki – and are worth listening to. One gets the sense that the entire concern tedious Witch Hunter Robin is extremely professional and uncompromising. Certainly worth viewing.

I really indulge in this series. The first few dvd’s were unbiased hunting witches but now Robin is the one that has become the hunted. The hunters that approach after Robin have carisma. I delight in the battle senes between Robin and the hunters. I am very ecstatic with the direction the seris has taken. At first I belief that it was going to become repeditve with hunt this witch over and over. That did not happen they shifted the status and made you hold wondering.

Soul Hunter is based, abate loosely, upon one of the more racy (and rarely translated) Chinese classic called Investiture of the Gods (or Creation of the Gods) . This work is centered around one of the most tyrannical king in Chinese legends, king Zhou (roughly 1100 BC) and his offending the goddess, Nu Wa (Dakki, in this translation) that ultimately led to the downfall of the Shang dynasty (Yin, here… i contemplate) . interestingly (for me anyway), Investiture of the Gods was written in a very pro-Taoist manner, in disagreement to Pilgrimage to the West (with the Monkey King) where the most noteworthy deities were Buddhists… impartial my $0.02.

BUT ENOUGH of that dull background stuff… on to the anime.

Soul Hunter is a series spanning 6 dvds and follows Taikoubou’s (a taoist seer) stir to bind 365 demons (including Dakki herself) to prevent unbalancing the order of things in the mortal world.

animated in the style of Slayers and El Hazard (a droll anime in its bear proper) in both its model art and tongue in cheek humor, Soul Hunter is light hearted and very well translated (the English command acting is very suitable) — in fact, on the dvd, there are ‘Translator’s Notes’ that explains microscopic tidbits that might be missed during the first viewing of the series.

the first few episodes are a limited monotonous until the different characters had some time to produce and then it picks up fair swiftly with all of the usual manic skirmishes between different mystical powers.

cleanly drawn and well acted, salvage past the slightly insensible open and you’ll be crooked.

Senkaiden Houshin Engi (title changed to Soul Hunter, um ok) is one of the best, if not the best anime I have ever seen. Not to mention this DVD has -5- episodes! So seize it! Now!

Taikoubou leads a cast of quirky characters brought together by unusual circumstances. The scrape is Taikoubou is not a normal hero by any means and has no blueprint of completing his quest to seal 365 demon sennins. He figures he’ll unprejudiced go after Dakki, the snide temptress that has taken over the empire and who he believes to be the head honcho. Armed with his weapon, the paopei of wind called Daishinben, his bumbling adventures originate.

While at first this explain may arrive across as a light-hearted, droll adventure, it turns out to be noteworthy more as the location deepens and allies become enemies. Pasts are brought out and secrets are revealed. Taikoubou may even turn out to be a strategic genius who truely believes the words of the heart are stronger than steel. Then again, he may unprejudiced be as monotonous as you assume! ~_*
