This area represents the first of an expected 12 (more? ) seasons of the Simpsons to be released on DVD. The unique view is to release 2-3 seasons a year. The second season will be released in time for Christmas.
Since the first season was shorter, this first disc has many extras. First, all of the shorts from the Tracy Ullman prove will be there. Also, there will be a “lost” episode included.
Fox must be commended in releasing these discs. When they were preparing to release the discs, they went to the fans, and asked how we would like them released. As season packs? How many extras? How often? Rarely does a publisher care that remarkable.

The Simpsons is the longest running comedy, longest running prime time fascinating series, and is definately some of the wisest, best written comedy and satire ever set on TV. God Bless Fox for giving them all to us.
Oh my God. When I found out about the Simpsons Season 1 Dvd’s I fell of my bed. I’m so contented, because the Simpsons is the best note in the world, anyway I deem the 1st season is the 3rd best. The first two being 3 and 11. Okay, so the episodes are… 1. SIMPSONS ROASTING ON AN Inaugurate FIRE – When bart get’s a tatto, marge has to exhaust the family’s christmas money on a removal, and Homer doesn’t obtain a bonus, Homer gets a job as a Mall Santa. 2. BART THE GENIUS-Bart cheats on a IQ test and goes a modern school. 3. HOMER’S ODYSSEY – Homer get’s fired and goes on a safty kick. 4. THERE’S NO DISGRACE LIKE HOMER – After a picnic homer thinks the family needs theorapy. 5. BART THE GENERAL – Bart leads a battle against Nelson. 6. MOANING LISA – Lisa is dismal, but cheered up by Bleeding Gums. 7. THE CALL OF THE SIMPSONS – the Simpsons secure lost on a camping gallop. 8. THE TELLTALE HEAD – Bart steals a statues Head 9. LIFE ON THE Hastily LANE – Marge considers having an affair. 10. HOMER’S NIGHT OUT – Homer get’s caught dancing with a stripper. 11. CREEPS OF WRATH – Bart goes to Paris. 12. I loved this movie. It was totally bonkers: a human baby accidently ends up on the north pole and grows up among the elf community that supports Santa Claus. Buddy, as he comes to be known, knows that he’s “special” however, since he can’t retain up with the other elves. Never mind the fact that he’s about three times as astronomical as any of them and barely fits in the shower.
When he’s 30, and calm young by Elf standards, he learns that he’s really a human. Buddy decides to go in search of his father (who’s on Santa’s impish list), to fetch out where he belongs. He walks to Unique York (through the Lincoln tunnel), and is immediately rush over by a cab. The chain of events starts at that moment …
Buddy is a enjoyable and titillating character with many special talents and a childish personality. He is naive to the point of stupidity, but charming all the while. His lovable demeanour gains him friends in spite of his clumsy efforts. He is sweet, kind and grand. When his father at first rejects him, Buddy ends up in a department store where other elves (people who pretend to be Santa’s elves) are working, and stays up all night to decorate the station. When the department store Santa isn’t the steady Santa, well, you can guess what happens …

Abstract, inviting, child-like madness all manufacture up this radiant movie. Absolutely enjoyable and recommended to viewers of all ages. If you want a Christmas feel-good movie, this is it.
First of all, this was the funniest film I have ever seen; I was in tears half map through. Yes, it is a kids’ movie, but adults glean to contemplate Will Farrel rip the heart out of Christmas by camping it up and being ridiculously dependable. Watching Farrel begin a fight with a erroneous Santa for “sitting on a throne of lies” is about as fun as films glean.

Those reviewers who reflect that this was cheesey nonsense – duh. It was supposed to be, and that is what made it so humorous. And you seem to have missed the whole essence of the film.

Like the other reviewer, I’ve seen this pleasing runt movie dozens of times, and never collect tired of it. Angela Lansbury and Paige O’Hara are objective as charming as in the fresh, and Bernadette Peters’ Angelique will melt your heart. Her song, “As Long As There’s Christmas,” impartial might build a find in your throat. The animation – especially the atrocious Forte – is eye-popping, unprejudiced as you would seek information from from Disney. I would recommend this movie for all Disney-cartoon fans, as well as those who want a collection of cheery, heart-warming Christmas videos/DVDs. Regain it … You won’t be disappointed. (FYI: Disney released a CD soundtrack that is honest as mighty fun as the movie!)

Really now.. When I heard that they were putting my Popular Christmas film on DVD I was so furious. Muppet Family Christmas is something that my family always watches. It’s amusing, sweet, and so interesting. But, unfortunetly, the version on the DVD is not the version I unprejudiced praised. There are massive edits that are very noticable to viewers who have watched it since it first aired on TV and may leave first time viewers confused. Fozzie’s duet with the Snowman is sever out, the Muppet Babies home video is carve out (leaving Doc with a very curious line that doesn’t develop sense) and in my belief the best portion, where Miss Piggy enters and sings her song and slips on the Cool Patch is edited out. The best Frigid patch gag and it’s left out of the DVD/VHS.

I am not going to lift this DVD, Fortunately, my VHS tape aloof works well enough to leer it (yes with the OshGosh commercails and Double Mint Gum ones too!) . Until they set aside the precise version on the market, I will not utilize my money on the DVD.
Update: I have received many message from Amazon readers asking if I could transfer my copy to dvd, but unfortunately, I lack the equipment to do so and do not know anyone offering copies at the moment. Best of luck to all the searchers!
I am very annoyed with the video that I bought off this website. I had the video recorded from t.v years ago and accidently loaned it out to someone. When I found it on amazon, needless to say I was thrilled, until I watched it. You prick out the major scenes from the movie like when Fozzie does his stand up comedy act with the snowmen and when the Muppet babies video is slit short. I don’t mind dinky edits, but editing out these parts is absolutely ridiculious! I would have given the movie five stars, but since it has been butchered, it only receives three stars. People who have never seen this movie would never behold the edits, but if you’re like me and you have watched this video about 5 million times, you will definetly seek the edits. You shouldn’t even be selling the movie like this! It ruins the whole legend! Therefore, I will continue to peer for my old-fashioned copy and peep the one I recorded off Odyseey instead.

The title episode for this DVD is “How Many More Minutes Until Christmas? ” It’s a double-length yarn in which Charlie & Lola receive an Advent calendar for Christmas. They excitedly count down the days until Christmas, but are apprehensive when it appears that Christmas has disappeared from their calendar. There’s a lot of substantial moments and amusing dialogue in this one and it conveys the magic of the holidays quite nicely. Oh, and the theme music in this episode has a holiday sound to it.
My celebrated and my best sage on this DVD though is “I Completely Know About Guinea Pigs” as I enjoy a guinea pig myself. The guinea pig in this tale is very cute and there’s a comic surprise ending.

Other stories on this DVD are “Charlie is Broken!,” “I Gawk with My Miniature Eyes,” “I Am Really, Really, Really Concentrating” and “I Really Wonder What Plant I’m Growing.” The DVD also includes subtitles, as well as two bonus outtakes and the sweet “It’s Snowing” video montage.
From all of the Charlie and Lola dvd’s, this is our approved. They are all really helpful though but we like this one because it has a Christmas episode in there. The Charlie and Lola cartoons, are so thoughtful and stylish and thinking outside the typical cartoon you notice on tv these days. The artwork, the music, and the characaters are so first-rate and friendly towards one another and fair a nice cartoon you want your kids to peruse instead of the violence and weirdness you notice. I really like the relationship the brother-sister duo has. Imaginative and honest cozy. This is a winner in our library.
