Disney’s AMERICAN LEGENDS is a compilation of several mountainous legends of America’s past, celebrating stories of huge men doing tall (and not so mammoth) deeds. The selection of stories is entertaining, and each has a definitive station in American (and Disney) history. While the stories may be a bit different from what you were told (if you were told them at all, considering most of the heroes are not what one would call politically good), all in all, it’s an delicious collection that my family watches about once a month.

James Earl Jones ties the collection together with live action narrartion putting an real historical context to the proceedings. His delivery and tone strike a balance between serious education and tongue-in-cheek plan.
The first legend is JOHN HENRY, directed and lead bright by Price Henn, the animator who brought Jasmine (from Aladdin) and several other major Disney heroes to life. With narration by the grand Alfre Woodard and a stirring rendition of the “John Henry” song by the Sounds of Blackness Choir, the short is helpful. From the backgrounds intended to give the feel of folk art and quilting, to the rough animation occasionally showing through (the rough lines haven’t been “cleaned up,” showing the power of the animator’s unique drawings, and giving it a less “sparkling” sight), JOHN HENRY is a wonderful short, and the considerable reason Disney released the collection in the first spot.

JOHNNY APPLESEED (originally from MELODY TIME, a compilation feature released in the early 1950′s) is told and sung by Irish tenor Dennis Day. Some nice animation, including some immense stylized moments designed by Disney artist Mary Blair (whose distinctive recognize inspired most Disney features of the 1950′s), plus the mammoth “The Lord is Friendly to Me” song, obtain JOHNNY a nice treat.
PAUL BUNYAN was released as a short in the early 60′s and features the catchy title song sung by the Mellomen. Huge bass exclaim actor Thurl Ravenscroft brings Paul’s booming remark to life, and there are some genuinely funny bits based on Paul’s exploits in creating some of our most celebrated natural landmarks (Pike’s Peak, Yellowstone Falls, etc.) . Paul is definitely not a hero in this day and age, since his claim to fame is massive deforestation. Oh, for a simpler time.
THE Doughty ENGINEER is the record of CASEY JONES, who really wasn’t very luminous and gained fame for crashing his tell into another one. The short itself isn’t very mettlesome (unlike John Henry, who gives his all to indicate humanity can best machinery; Paul Bunyan, who helped definite the method for settlement in the West; or Johnny Appleseed, who helped feed hungry settlers), mostly being an excuse to have Jerry Collona (the stammer of the March Hare in Disney’s ALICE IN WONDERLAND) to do a myriad of voices, abominable puns, and the like. It’s quite appealing in itself, but not at the level of the rest of the shorts.
There are several reviews here who consume umbrage with correct problems, but they appear to be getting their huge tales mixed up (it was Joe Magarac who melted himself into steel, NOT John Henry), and those who thought the release as bit of shrewd marketing by Disney miss the point that Disney had planned to release JOHN HENRY with other fearless shorts long before the events of 9/11.
While it is somewhat lacking at the slay, and could have venerable PECOS BILL (from Fabricate MINE MUSIC, narrated by Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers) to acquire a really smashig conclusion, on the whole, the collection is friendly, and quite palatable.
This is a fantastic blueprint for children to learn about American historical figures. My 3 year musty son was continually entertained by the songs and different animation. It is a must have on our Disney list.

Excellent documentary that explains the rage of some young black men![]()
I just saw this movie last night and will be returning again to see it. It was very powerful, much more so than I would have ever imagined.
The film traces back through history, detailing the “roots of rage”, so to speak, for the black man in Los Angeles. The film is never boring, utilizing archival film clips from the past, interspersed with interviews from past gang members who are incredibly articulate and erudite. Kumasi’s barely controlled ire is tempered with measured intelligent speech. I was enthralled.
The only surprise for me was the lack of mention of the influence of rap music vis a vis the gangs, although there is plenty to be had on the soundtrack throughout.
Powerful stuff![]()
Simply some of the most powerful footage and commentary on race in America I’ve ever seen. Powerful Powerful stuff. Something every American should sit down and pay very close attention to. The section on the Watts Riots gave me chills….just incredibly well done. The explication of the economic foundation of LA’s ghettoization is succinct and 100% on target. The way the film traces the roots of today’s problems so clearly to Slavery, Jim Crow, and the marginalization of the American black in the most prosperous period after WWII is pitch perfect. It’s hard to comprehend how someone can grow up in LA and never have seen the Pacific Ocean…but that insular world of crips and bloods is an epidemic America is going to have to confront sooner or later.

This DVD confirms all that I have felt, concept about and read about. It is material channeled by non physical sources. For those sceptical about channeling, believe about how some of our holy scriptures came about. Now channels are effectively radios, that occupy up broadcasts out there. Gain in mind, not all programmes on the radio/tv are trustworthy. Let your heart resolve whether something works for you or not. What is said on this DVD, resonates with my being. So like, or not, it is up to you to choose. I would highly recommend this, as in terms of films, there is small as informative about our souls like this.
This DVD of various channelers speaking is absolutely wonderful, and I highly recommend it. The material from each speaker is of the highest caliber. This is a classic, and filled with expansive material. I hope they make more DVDs like this.

On June 9, 2009, “Bellow! Factory” released the third season of one of the best sitcoms ever to advance down South Maple Street in Springfield (or any other street in America) — “Father Knows Best”.

After watching the first three discs of this 5-Disc DVD region, I’d have to say that Season 3 is even better than the first two seasons of FKB. But Season 1 and Season 2 are darn great too (even if some of the first-year shows aren’t “uncut”) .
I’m not an expert, but it seems to me as though the writing for the third year is a clear degree above the earlier seasons. I haven’t noticed a misfire yet (through Disc 3, that is) . These episodes are simply outstanding–every one of them–and I fair felt like writing this review to say that.

But the thing that really prompted me to go to the computer today to write these comments is one particular scene in the episode called “Swiss Family Anderson” (on Disc 3) . That episode originally aired on network television over 50 years ago (on January 9, 1957), but it level-headed seems novel and relevant even today.
The scene in expect occurs six minutes into the “Swiss” episode, objective as the Anderson family is sitting down to dinner. Jim (Robert Young) begins to announce the rest of the family about how a work colleague of his wants him to acquire a peruse at an “island” property and size it up for a possible recall (at the stunning edifying tag of only $1,500) .
What impressed me most about that dining-room scene is the diagram it was filmed and how it was “choreographed” (so to lisp) . The first 90 seconds of the scene were shot in one long, continuous consume, without the camera spirited one coast.
During that long, continuous shot, the family members are talking and filling their dinner plates by passing them around the table until everybody’s got everything they need. It’s like a ballet with the ham and potatoes.
After the camera cuts away from that long capture, we net another fairly-lengthy unbroken prefer from the other side of the dining table, with Betty (Elinor Donahue) providing a very silly moment as she tries to convince “father” to add some more shower heads to the upstairs bathroom — “Nowadays, everyone has two heads! Lots of people have THREE!” [LOL.]
(BTW, I guess perhaps I’m fair venerable or out of touch, but I have never seen a shower or bathtub that has had more than one shower head in it. And why in the world would anyone need two or three shower heads anyway? Does Betty conception on taking a shower with two additional people at the same time or something? ) ~shrug~
Anyway, I thunder that scene really isn’t anything super-special or fresh (there are probably similar scenes in other FKB episodes, and in other TV series too), but for some reason that scene I unbiased described stood out for me when I watched it (and then rewatched it again factual away, because I understanding it was very respectable) .
I mediate it’s a worthy example of the high quality of this television series. The actors never miss a beat, the dialogue seems natural at all times (and the “shower head” banter was a truly hilarious moment), and the “plate dance” was a nice touch too. I fair wonder if the aired version of that scene was Engage #1? Or Steal #21?
As for the other Season-Three episodes I’ve watched thus far, as I mentioned, I haven’t seen a dud in the bunch yet, and this includes “Never In Twain”, “Margaret Hires A Gardener”, “The Tremendous Guy”, “The Family Goes To Novel York”, and the very touching episode entitled “The Homing Pigeon”.
In addition to the above episodes, this position also contains one of the very best (and surprisingly-exciting) episodes of any TV series I have ever seen. It’s entitled “Short Wave”, and after watching it for the first time, I found myself wanting to immediately glance this suitable, well-acted, and original episode again — and I did.
I won’t spoil the position of “Short Wave”, but if you’ve got this DVD collection and haven’t yet watched that episode — go scrutinize it now. It’s a winner.
The third-season DVD status also has several bonus features (some on each disc), including three complete episodes of the radio version of “Father Knows Best? ” (yes, with a query imprint at the extinguish of the title) .
Plus, there are two rotund episodes of Robert Young’s short-lived series “Window On Main Street”, which premiered in 1961, shortly after FKB left the air.
These third-season episodes of “Father Knows Best” seem to be complete and unedited too (25+ minutes per display), with the word “uncut” appearing on the help mask of the DVD’s outer slipcase, which is always a nice word to survey in print on a TV/DVD package.
I don’t grasp having ever seen any of these Season-Three episodes in the past, except for a few minutes of “Man About Town”, which unprejudiced happened to be the episode that was airing on many ABC-TV affiliates between 1:30 and 2:00 PM on the afternoon of November 22, 1963, when news first broke about President Kennedy being shot by an assassin in Dallas, Texas.
Therefore, almost all of these episodes are brand-new to me. And I can hardly enjoy how really, really wonderful these shows are. I’ve watched some of them two or three times already….and I haven’t even gotten to Disc 4 yet.
But even without having seen the last two discs, I want to ticket the “Father Knows Best: Season Three” DVD area with the following two words:
Positively Recommended!

June 2009
I’m very satisfied to eye that Season 3 of Father Knows Best will be coming fairly soon. Like the Donna Reed Explain, Father Knows Best is a very appealing family comedy, and I hope they continue with the remaining seasons in short order!

Of the three major British TV series in the past that took a ‘big vision’ of the development of civilisation in technical and/or vivid senses: Clarke’s ‘Civilisation’, Bronowski’s ‘Ascent’, and Burke’s ‘Connections’ by far the most conceptually penetrating and diverse was Bronowski’s.

I would characterise it like this, with Clarke we gather the Aristocrat/Scholar, safe and singular in his erudition and exemplary sensibility, with Burke we win the hip materialist university prof who with wit draws together individuals and science in easy-to-understand argument/narratives that gain him peep clever. With Bronowski we win depth and brilliant risk taking. I judge this has to do with how Bronowski chooses to lisp a sense of oblique contemplation about the events he describes as he explains things – that is for him communicating his points is always tied into synthesising a symbolic language of attributes about humanity’s progress with scientific or empirical facts. This comes from a variety of things, Bronowski’s early interest in literature (particularly William Blake), his heritage as an eastern European Jew, and his experiences as an assessor of the effects of war both as a scientist and as a Jew.
His book on Blake, although at times meandering and searching, is the most new attempt at contextualising the poet I’ve ever read – in a blueprint its a significant assessment of Blake and the associative implications of his writing that models Blakean understanding to 20thc conclusions as if it were Blake himself writing it.
Bronowski fair simply has more depth and a grand greater originality of understanding and ethical outlook than the other two. He’s a staunch thinker rather than simply an academic and this comes out in his agility with shifting arenas of investigation during the programs.

Put your kids in front of this guy – its the sort of mind our education system should be producing. I certainly would not say that he is a poor presenter, he’s unbiased one that demands a different kind of attention than the shlock sound-byte cardboard cut-out presenters you come by so distinguished on TV today. You actually have to exhaust time observing him as he imparts ideas – his mannerisms are crucial to his public performance and if you can acquire a scheme to dig it its endlessly enchanting.
I can only concur with the many accolades this superior program has received over the years. Viewing it as a teen was a broadening and life-changing experience for me. Through its lens, I became fascinated by the complex interrelationships among many fields of learning and started to understanding the sciences as both poetry and a broad adventure. I observe forward to giving the same experience to my children.
Jacob Bronowski was truly a renaissance man, grand of synthesizing the progress of human idea and the scientific blueprint into lucid, handsome essays. “The Ascent of Man” is his magnum opus and, in both written and filmed formats, required reading and viewing for all those who would hope to reflect themselves educated. It’s not simply a history of scientific thought; it’s also a vigorous defense of humanism and a passionate assault on dogma.
That said, the fresh edition, which I’ve checked out from the library, looks like it was mastered from mediocre Super8 film. And I’m thoroughly flummoxed by the notice. I refuse to pay $130 for a box spot of DVDs when the DVD dwelling for Kenneth Clark’s “Civilization,” a series comparable both in length and in excellence, costs only $55. Why is “The Ascent of Man” available from Amazon.co.uk in Spot 2 encoding for only £37? Why overcharge Americans and discourage novel generations from exposing themselves to the brilliance of Bronowski?
For that matter, why is Alistair Cooke’s fantastic TV series “America” completely unavailable in America yet available in the UK? This makes no sense! Would someone at the BBC acquire his or her head out of the sand and release these DVDs — properly remastered, please — in the US?

Thoughts from various sources
from the VHS sleeve from CBS ‘The Pitchwagon’
-At a time when TV westerns were either adapted from radio programs or based upon completely ficticious characters, Rawhide was a rare exception. Week after week, for seven years, Rawhide invited us on a historically right 1860′s cattle drive from San Antonio, Texas to Sedalia, Kansas. Absolutely everything about Rawhide was first class. The rich, sprawling, hour-long episodes allowed characters to make and noteworthy stories to unfold. The music, which included a hit theme performed by Frankie Laine, was written by Hollywood fable Dimitri Tiomkin. And best of all, the intellectual ensemble cast introduced Clint Eastwood in the role that made him famous-the young ramrod, Rowdy Yates.
-Rawhide, considered to be the best written and best directed Western on television. For seven seasons, Fleming portrayed an, independent, strong, colorful, and dauntless cowboy in the tradition of the American West. He embodied the mythic hero whose sense of justice and morality overrode all other considerations. Fleming’s presence as Favor was so dominant that it centered the entire exhibit and provided the obnoxious around which all the other characters revolved. Additionally, the character was provided with a personal history that enhanced his leadership. In four episodes featuring Favor’s interactions with children (Incident of the Fish Out of Water, The Boss’s Daughters, Incident of the Hostages, and El Hombre Bravo), his warmth, sensitivity, and overt compassion are particularly evident, adding depth, realism, and a gentleness to the character. The series was mostly shot in Nogales, Arizona and the authenticity of the ride drive was staggering – enough to find The Western Heritage Award from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame four years in a row. The award named Rawhide the outstanding program of its genre for excellence in depicting the West.
-Television and the home entertainment revolution of the 80′s and 90′s have made permanently accessible to us small-screen recreations of America’s frontier history – the Wild West. Viewers over a clear age have not forgotten and could never abandon the feelings stirred by Rawhide.
-This was not only one of the finest of the TV Westerns, it was perhaps the grittiest.
-I dearly adore Eric Fleming and I never hear Clint Eastwood talk about Eric Fleming or say anything nice about him-Eric had a dusky childhood and he was a sculptor and a painter. Even though Eric Fleming is tiring, I wish in some design they could compose a tribute to him. He was a very gifted actor.
-[The series was very accepted in Europe and reached nearly fanatical levels in Japan]
–The series is in sad and white so the conceal artwork should not be in colo, but it’s huge they have started with this season 1 dwelling. Season 2-8 Please! Fans of Rawhide have had to wait 47 years-almost half a century for this series measured from the initiate date of 1959(as of 2006), they have waited so long to initiate making the series available that powerful of the current fan sinister will never behold these remastered episodes. There have also been several attempts to bring the series out so hopefully they’ll release all 8 seasons. This is a gritty series so don’t gain the detestable plan from the artwork which makes it almost survey like they’re getting ready for a picnic. The details in this series are astonishing and Gil is absolutely improbable. It is something special to hear the diagram Gil talks and to hear his verbalize. Eric was the reason for Rawhide’s success and we will never forget him. Eric Fleming was a grand man. There will never be another man like Eric Fleming.
Many thanks for bringing out this first Season. Seasons 2-8 on DVD Please!

Stream Will Ferrell: You’re Welcome, America. A Final Night with George W. Bush Movie Online
Reading a couple of poor reviews on this performance, “Will Ferrell: You’re Welcome, America. A Final Night with George W. Bush”, has me baffled. Most folks in this world care for most of Will Ferrell’s hilarious wit and comedy range. Obviously these other negative reviewers don’t have witty & colorful senses of humor. Even if you don’t follow politics, and whatever party you’re in or not in if you do, this is HILARIOUS from beginning to kill! Impartial like going to peek a live play, they win snappily entermissions to change location pieces and “W”s wardrobe. It is injected with adult snarl & language as Ferrell nails “W” perfectly. He tells farcical itsy-bitsy “W” life details & stories that will have you crying with laughter! I watched this like 6 times when I had HBO. Ignore any poor reviews on here, those folks are retarded. You must at least rent this when it comes out, you won’t be disappointed! It’s another masterpiece from Will Ferrell and a classic goodbye to the historical goof that is George W. Bush!
The DVD isn’t out yet, so I don’t know what that will be like, but the program itself is hysterical. I deem I’ve watched it on HBO 6 or 7 times and it aloof cracks me up. Even a bare bones DVD with no extras would be well worth getting, so there is really nowhere to go but up.

The 5-star reviews and the 1-star reviews for those are both a joke, it’s not dreadful and it’s CERTAINLY not perfect. You impartial kind of have to ask yourself why you opinion on watching this. If you’re looking for recent insight into the mind of serial killers, there is nothing original to inspect or hear here. If you’re looking for plenty of videos of the killers being interviewed or appearances in court or dilapidated news reels or whatever… well, there’s SOME of that, but for the most section it’s mainly clips that are available on youtube with narration over top. If you’re looking for a gawk at a lot of obscure killers and not impartial the expansive names, well, honestly there are a few here or there that I was surprised about (I rarely examine Albert Fish salvage mentioned elsewhere, and there were a few killer couples on the “buddies” segment that hardly ever secure talked about) .
If you’re looking for high production values, sorry! While everything is competently-filmed and -edited, the creators of this made the mistake of interviewing the same 2 or 3 people for the entire 7 1/2 hours. So, if you don’t like 1 of them (or all of them), you’re out of luck… secure frail to seeing ‘em over and over again! Also, if you’re looking for something comprehensive, forget it. Did it even MENTION the Manson Family killing Sharon Tate?! Either I fell asleep for that brief piece or they honest skimmed correct over it and started talking about the media’s role in the Manson case.

The narration is great; don’t let the other reviewers fool you, and the narrator himself doesn’t do the voices of the killers, they have separate people doing the voices, and it works unprejudiced resplendent. The soundtrack is unbelievable if you care about that when watching a documentary. The whole thing held my interest with no plight, even though I knew all of this stuff. There actually were a few tidbits here or there that I’d never heard before, and I’ve read plenty of accurate crime books and stare truTV/CourtTV religiously.
One nitpick: Every single disc starts with the same 3 small “title sequence”, with a reenactment of a tubby cowboy getting shot and clips of Hitler and such. The same trusty 3 limited title sequence. While it’s easy to skip past, it was extremely annoying. Oh, and as for “showing clips of used movies”, yeah, they do that on the first couple of segments, but it’s not like they could have shown Accurate CLIPS from the slack 1800s, now could they?
I enjoyed this thing for what it is, and I mediate it actually probably would be a apt introduction to people fair getting into serial killers, especially for $5. I will say, disc 2 is Plan better than disc 1. So, 5 stars for the brand if you can acquire it cheap, 2 stars of the production values, 3 stars of the advise… 3 stars overall.
I paid the 5 bucks at Walmart for it, which I notion was a bargain brand even if it didn’t turn out to all that worthy. I was atrocious. This collection is not even worth that noteworthy. I literally cried through the whole thing. Either because the voice-over was so terribly hilarious, or because of all the innacuracies that were presented as speak truth. This whole DVD comes off as something smashed together by someone who has only done the slightest bit of research on the subject matter and then padded the whole thing with vaguely related clips. Skip this one. You’re better off keeping that 8 or 5 bucks and treating yourself to lunch.

At this writing, we’ll all have to wait until 2006 to luxuriate in this collection. Allen Reed (Fred), Jean Vanderpyl (Wilma and Pebbles), Mel Blanc (Barney and Dino), Don Messick (Bamm Bamm) and John Stephenson (Mr. Slate) all return for the 1964-65 season. Since Bea Benederet got an acting role on liveaction sitcom Petticoat Junction, she would leave the sing to extinct talkshow host Gerry Johnson. In addition, the Rubbles would have their acquire pet, Hoppy, a green kangaroo from Australiarock(Messick would supply Hoppy’s snarl “Hawp! Hawp!”) . At first, Fred didn’t like Hoppy too grand, but when Hoppy saved the lives of Pebbles and Bamm Bamm on a picnic, Fred was won over (not to mention that he got his narrate in the paper along with the Hoparoo) . Also, at the intro, the Rubbles would join the Flintstones for the movie and as Dino popped his head through the roof, Fred and Barney would space Pebbles and Bamm Bamm atop.

In this season, Pebbles has her 1st birthday party and Fred is in charge of booking a caterer for 2 parties- one for her and one for his buddies at the Waterbuffalo Lodge (you can guess what happens, especially with a caterer whose attitude is “I’m the only caterer in town!”) . Fred races in the Indianrockalus 500 as Goggles Pizano (his psuedo-Italian accent is a scream- “Itsa looksa likea Goggles Pizano izza hangin’ uppa his agoggles!”), Fred needs to gaze a doctor who turns out to be a quack when he switches Fred’s personality 1st to Dino’s then to Barney’s, then…, Fred experiments with a softdrink and winds up alarmed himself to size (Barney siezes the opportunity to audition the 2 of them on the Ed Sullystone present “Rrrrright here in this studio is the reeeeally enormous…”), a original family called the Gruesomes moves into town, similar to the Addams Family (“Would you have a cup of red ants? “) and Dino falls in treasure with the neighbor’s dog and grumpy neighbor Mr. Loudrock (voiced by Henry Corden, who’d hold over Fred’s disclose after Reed passed away in 1977) doesn’t approve of the relationship. Fred inherits the estate of his rich but kooky Uncle Giggles and must expend the night there to be troubled to death by his creepy servants and the memory of his “behind” uncle’s laugh, at the World’s Resplendent, the Flintstones and the Rubbles steal a view into the future and regain bitten by lions, encourage Columbus recognize America, succor Benjamin Franklin perceive electricity and finally wind up in the 20th century where a wisecracking hamburger vendor says “Four brontosaurus burgers, that’ll be 2 rocks, please!” Fred poses as king for a day for his lookalike from Stonesylvania (“The rrrotskin spotskin is motskin in the plotskin!”), Uncle Tex invites the Flintstones and the Rubbles to his ranch at Texarock, the Hatrocks pay the Flintstones a proper visit and posthaste wear out their welcome (until they are surrounded by Four Insect impersonators, now don’t scream me you don’t know who the 4 Insects are supposed to be, here’s a hint- “She said yeah, yeah, yeah!”), Fred poses as Superstone (“Beeheeheehawhaw!”) and as Santa Claus at a department store in Bedrock and later gets hired by the man himself for the night, the Flintstones go on vacation and “lifeguard” Jimmy Darrock has to bail Fred out each time he tries his hand at surfing (voiced by James Darren, who sings “Everybody’s Gone Crazy with the Surfin’ Craze”), and both Fred and Barney are asked to solve a mystery and wind up on Candid Crime (“Lady, I’m a married man. Besides, you’re melting my ice cream!”) . In the episode, Fred pays a nod to his inspiration “Very comical, everybody’s a Jackie Gleastone!” There’s also a James Bond satire in which Fred and Barney wind up facing the unfavorable Dr. Unfriendly and bailing out the sexy but selfish Madame Yes- “Can you aid me, qualified lookeeng? ” Pebbles and Bamm Bamm are entered in a beauty contest, which starts a war between the Flintstones and the Rubbles (each wants their beget child to secure) . Fred wins a flying lesson and his instructor is a sexy female. Wilma invites Bony Hurdle, a rodeo man, who makes Fred jealous with his roundup stories and tucking puny Pebbles into bed. Fred becomes sheriff for a day when they visit a ghost town and almost gets in distress with the Slatery brothers (Barney uses a snarl similar to Deputy Droopalong’s- “Looks lak thissizit, Mr. Flintstone!”) .
If you enjoyed the last 4 seasons, you’ll appreciate this one as well. That’ll be 2 rocks, please!
I am glad we diehard Flintstone fans don’t have to wait in vain for the complete fifth season!!! I must say it’s really hard to assume a celebrated episode from this season, but I narrowed it down to the one when Fred and Barney regain mixed up with a sexy female see Madame Yes. I swear that was a parody of James Bond, considering their hero was named Jay Bondrock!

I also level-headed laugh out loud at the dancing girls at Pebbles 1st birthday party. Barney was a riot when he started dancing with the girls and telling Betty he was objective trying to salvage them out the door! Yeah accurate Barney!
I’m also looking forward to seeing the episode when Fred and Barney have to stop the night in a jumpy house to inherit his uncle Giggles Flinstones money. You can’t assist but crack up when Fred and Barney’s hair wiggles everytime they hear that noxious laughter!!! I’ll be like a kid in a candystore when this wonderful dvd space arrives March 7th!!! I can hardly wait!!!

I absolutely care for this series!
For those of you who don’t know Ghost Stories was originally realesed in Japan a few years ago as essentially a miniature kids exhibit. It’s kinda like “Scooby Doo” or something, you now the senario, microscopic kids fight ghosts, blah blah blah, clich’e, clich’e, it’s all been done before. However when the expose was brought to America a couple of changes were made. Basically the people at ADV films saw it fitting to change the script entirely originate it’s new version. Basically the story’s are the same it’s unprejudiced the dialogue centered around the epic that’s altered. And acquire me it was a gracious thought, because “Ghost Stories” is probably the funniest anime Ive ever seen.

For those of you who have bought the first volume of Ghost Stories and notion that was humorous, wait till you search for this. Ghost Stories, without a doubt, will definitely be one of those series that objective keeps on getting funnier and funnier as it progresses with each volume. Heres a review of each episode:
Episode five: Episode five was mammoth. It was mainly about Keichero(I cant spell his name), competing in the school sports vestival. But of course theres an aroused ghost on the loose who apparently likes to acquire the feet of the runner running in lane four, which spells disaster for the gang. This episode was truely humorous. The line about the cripps stealing Kechero’s shoes was hysterical. I don’t know why but it’s always really laughable when puny kids say things they really arn’t supposed to say, it honest is. As usual the humor was very Topical here, and unbiased about all of it hits the price, Ghost Stories has a nack for that. I have to say though one thing about GS is the fact that you really cant study the demonstrate with a very little knowledge of pop culture. Becuase you probably won’t win most of the jokes, but if you understood them all in volume one, then go for volume two.

Grade: A
Episode six: This was probably my current episode on the disc. It’s about a ghost called Babasara who likes to attack children while there home all alone at night. And of Course our five main characters objective happen to be all alone, and while Kechero, Leo, and Hajime have “Guy’s Night,” Satsuki and Momoko have girls night. And that alone unbiased creates all sorts of crazy Hyjinks for our characters. I have to say that even though Momoko is essentially a one joke character, she consistantly stays humorous the entire series, impartial about everything she says is a stitch. And it shows here.
Grade: A+
Episode 7: I like epispde seven, it was really amusing, nothing more to say.
Grade: A
Episode 8: Another large episode. Impartial dull old-fashioned Ghost Stories fun.
Grade: A
As you can reveal I thoughroughly enjoyed this disc, it was sharper, funnier and crazier than volume one, which is dazzling with me. Don’t miss this title.
Age recomendation:
Japanese version: The japanese version, as far as im concerned honest about anybody can ogle. There are some collected scares here and there along with a couple of PG reated potty and panty jokes, id say it would be delicate for agaes 8 and up.
English Version: The english version on the oter hand dosn’t bag off as easily as that. I must say as GS presses on to it’s second volume it definitely begins to become more and more offensive. It basically makes fun of almost everybody and there are quite a few sex jokes, and, I mean, there not horribly disagreeable offensive or anything, but there graceful heavy at times. Lets place it this arrangement, if the point to was on Adult Swim it would probably be TV 14, a strong TV-14. But one must mark that the humor here is only verbal, theres no nudity or anything physical in it. I would give it a 14 and up.
I was very tickled with the second volume of this anime. First, it is down good comical. Many times, you impartial don’t gain the jokes in an anime or they are really listless. This is not proper of this anime. The jokes are very contempary.
Secondly, the record stats strong and they stick to the situation. I can’t divulge for the Japanese version but the American version, the state is solid.
Thirdly, if you are a fan of the anime series “Chrono Crussade”, you will be overjoyed to know, two of the snort acotrs from Chrono Crussade” are in “Ghost Stories” which are Hilary Hoag(Sister Rosette) and Greg Ayers(Chrono) . It is very easy to identify which character’s voices they are.
Another reason I like this anime is because of the extras on the disc. If you go to the extras and clikc the ghost profiles, they give you a summary of the ghosts they employ in the anime. These ghosts are distinguished ghost stoires and legends in Japan. I particullarly like it because I like learning about different ghost sotires from different places. I also like that the characters are becoming more developed through storyline. If you like the first volume of Ghost Stories, seize up the second volume. You won’t be disappointed.
